COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

aerial viewAlthough each of the clubs has their own committees, Port Wakefield also has a Community Management Committee (CMC). This committee is a group of community leaders who manage the buildings and infrastructure that is owned by the Wakefield Regional Council. It includes a sport and recreation oval, community halls and meeting places and other such public facilities.

The CMC also applies for grants and funding through various Local, State and Federal agencies on behalf of local clubs and organisations to develop and improve their facilities and equipment. The Committee also arranges community events and provides support to others wanting to hold an event. The CMC is also an incorporated non profit organisation who relies on grants and their own fundraising capabilities for income.
